A Chaplain's tribute from Headington School

I first met Elizabeth soon after becoming Chaplain at Headington school a decade ago when she came to my first Headingtonian's day.  I recall the privilege of her imparting her knowledge of the school and her passion that the Christian faith was upheld - and flourished - as a central part of school life.  One of my favourite moments was sitting alone with her on the school hall's balcony, as she unpacked St Paul's teaching (and the Greek) from 1 Timothy chapter 6 (our school motto) - Fight the Good Fight of the Faith!  Year on year it was a joy and pleasure to sit with her and glean her wisdom and her infectious joy and positivity.  Above anything else, I knew that Elizabeth continued to pray for the school, for me even, and for the Good News of Jesus Christ to be shared and received.  Her Faith was at the heart of who she was and it is a wonderful thing to be sure of the truth of this statement:  She is more alive than she has ever been - she is with her Lord and Saviour.  What a wonderful woman and it's been such a joy to know her.  I look forward to seeing Elizabeth again!
